General Ledger Accountant

We are seeking an experienced accountant who is looking for a challenge. Our accounting needs are relatively simple now, but are becoming more complex daily. Shortly after joining, you will help with a systems conversion to a more robust, fully integrated software package. This position will also have responsibility for payroll, plus compensation and benefits, so you will have the opportunity to broaden your skill set by learning some aspects of HR.

Responsibilities:

• AP, AR, and GL
• Preparation of Financial Statements
• Involvement in budgeting and cash flow forecasting
• Preparation for audit
• Manage the integrated accounting system software
• Payroll
• Administration of salary ranges and performance reviews
• Administration of health, property, and liability insurance.

Qualifications:

• BS in accounting or business
• 3-5 years experience, with increasing responsibilities
• GL month-ending closing experience required
• Forecasting experience preferred
• Good computer skills, including some system admin
• Excel and Word
• Exceptional analytical skills
• A "can do" attitude
