Shifting Along the Trellis

• Definition:
  These buttons allow you to view trellis sections and trellis blocks that are not currently being displayed. The "<<" and ">>" buttons shown above shift the trellis diagrams in the corresponding directions by the amount chosen in the Shift Increment field.
  
• Usage:
  Shifting the trellis diagrams does not affect the execution of the Viterbi algorithm or change the current position of the algorithm progression in the trellis. To shift back to the current position press the Recenter button.  You can also shift by clicking in the Long Trellis Diagram on the trellis section you want to shift to, or by clicking to the right or left of the diagram to shift a block at a time.
